ITINERARY:

Day 1 – Arrival in Ericeira
Welcome to Europe’s surf capital! Check-in and free time to explore or watch the sunset over the ocean.
Overnight in Ericeira.

Day 2 – First surf lesson & Ericeira exploration
Morning surf session followed by free time for strolling through town or relaxing on the beach.
Overnight in Ericeira.

Day 3 – Last session in Ericeira & drive to Vila Nova de Milfontes
Morning surf and transfer south through the Alentejo landscapes.
Overnight in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

Day 4 – Surf in Vila Nova de Milfontes
Surf lesson at Malhão or Furnas beach. Afternoon at leisure.
Overnight in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

Day 5 – Last surf in Vila Nova & transfer to Aljezur
Morning surf, then drive to Aljezur in the Costa Vicentina.
Overnight in Aljezur.

Day 6 – Surf & discovery of Aljezur
Surf at Arrifana or Monte Clérigo beach. Afternoon free to explore the village.
Overnight in Aljezur.

Day 7 – Final surf session & return to Lisbon
Last lesson to put your skills to practice. Drive back to Lisbon and enjoy a free evening.
Overnight in Lisbon.

Tour Plan

Day 1 – Arrival in Ericeira

Welcome to Ericeira, the European surf capital! This picturesque fishing village, just 45 km from Lisbon, is one of only seven World Surfing Reserves in the world. After arrival and check-in, take a stroll through the cobbled streets, admire the white-and-blue houses, and breathe in the salty Atlantic air. You can relax by the seafront or toast the sunset with a cold beer while watching the waves at Ribeira d’Ilhas. Overnight in Ericeira.

Day 2 – First Surf Lesson & Village Exploration

The day begins at the beach: after a short theory session, you’ll enter the water for your first surf lesson with your instructors. Whether you’re a beginner or still learning, the goal is to build confidence and have fun safely. Afternoon free to explore Ericeira — visit the fish market, wander through the narrow streets, or relax in a seaside café. In the evening, enjoy a seafood dinner or a drink at the famous Boardriders, the local hub for surfers from all over the world. Overnight in Ericeira.

Day 3 – Last Session in Ericeira & Journey to Vila Nova de Milfontes

After your second surf session, we head south through the scenic Alentejo countryside. A 2.5-hour drive brings us to Vila Nova de Milfontes, one of the most charming towns on the southwestern coast. Arrival in the afternoon, with time to relax, stroll through town, or have dinner overlooking the Mira River. Overnight in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

Day 4 – Surf in Vila Nova de Milfontes

The beaches of Malhão and Furnas offer perfect waves to refine your technique in a stunning natural setting. Morning surf session, then free afternoon — unwind on the golden sands or explore a section of the Rota Vicentina, one of Portugal’s most beautiful coastal trails. Overnight in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

Day 5 – Last Surf in Vila Nova & Transfer to Aljezur

After your final Alentejo surf session, we travel to Aljezur, in the heart of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park. On the way, admire the wild landscapes of pine forests, cork hills, and windswept beaches. Arrival in the afternoon, time to explore the charming village and its Moorish castle ruins. Overnight in Aljezur.

Day 6 – Surf & Discovery of Aljezur

Back to the water! The beaches of Arrifana, Amoreira, and Monte Clérigo are among the most iconic in the southwest. After your lesson, stroll through the historic center, enjoy fresh fish, or simply relax and soak up the surfer’s pace of life. Overnight in Aljezur.

Day 7 – Final Lesson & Return to Lisbon

Morning surf session to put everything you’ve learned into practice and say goodbye to the waves. Afterward, transfer back to Lisbon (approx. 3 hours). Spend your evening exploring the lively districts of Bairro Alto or Cais do Sodré, with live music and sunsets over the Tagus. Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 8 – Departure

Breakfast and free time before heading to the airport on your own. Your adventure among the waves of Portugal ends — but the feeling of freedom stays with you.
