Day 2
09:00 Transfer Hotel Lagos - Quinta da Rocha 8 km circular trek 14:00 Transfer Quinta da Rocha - Passadiços de Alvor It is not at all exalted or overly dramatic. In fact, it is because the landscape seems so serene and welcoming that the Alvor estuary is such a valuable part of the Algarve coastline. This protected natural paradise contains a wide range of habitats, including vast sand dunes, ancient salt marshes, traditional farmlands, and thriving salt and freshwater marshes. The best way to admire the beautiful scenery, its abundant bird life and pristine local beaches is to experience the Alvor boardwalk. 09:00 Hotel - Quinta do Lago São Lourenço | Quinta do Lago Trail This trail offers one of the best ways to enjoy the serene lakes and salt flats of Ria Formosa, a natural jewel and one of the most important wetland ecosystems on the Iberian Peninsula. Protected from the open sea waters by a wide expanse of sandy islands, these lagoons provide shelter for a variety of waders and long-legged coastal birds, as well as species of crustaceans and fish, including two endangered species of seahorses.
