Tour Plan

1
Day 1: Monday: Arrival in Funchal
Arrival in Madeira and a private transfer will pick you up at the airport to take you to your hotel in Funchal.
2
Day 2: Tuesday: Full day - Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço
Duration: approx. 3h30 Highest point: 110m / Lowest point: 5m Distance: 8 km Location: Caniçal Difficulty: moderate Come with us and enjoy a fantastic 3 to 4 hours round trip coastal walk. Ponta de São Lourenço is a unique area with a painting-like landscape on the easternmost tip of Madeira. There's a jungle atmosphere and a great variety of small plants and birds. At various points, you can stand atop steep cliffs and marvel at the seascapes. In fact, around every corner you turn, there's another breathtaking view of Madeira's north and south coasts. From Morro do Furado you'll see the lighthouse in the distance and the neighboring islands of Desertas and Porto Santo. Don't miss this fantastic spot - it's not to be missed! This walk is an opportunity to step back in time with evidence of volcanic turbulence, geomorphological processes and the struggle of plants and animals to gain a foothold in a beautiful but hostile landscape. Terrain so rugged for hikers that you don't find it everywhere.

Day 5: Friday: Half day- Levada do Estreito de Câmara de Lobos
Level of difficulty: easy Distance: 6.5 km Duration: 4 hours including transfers This trail crosses part of the Levada do Norte, one of the largest and most important on the island. It starts in Garachico and takes the hiker as far as Estreito de Câmara de Lobos. It's an easy flat route with very pleasant scenery and can be done at any time of year due to the mild climate in the south. On this walk you can see the rich and lush vineyards that produce some of Madeira's best-known wines.

Day 6: Saturday: Full day - Rabaçal and the 25 Fountains
Level of difficulty: moderate Distance: 11 km Duration: 8 hours including transfers This is one of the island's most popular trails, a true masterpiece of nature. Descending from the famous Paúl da Serra plateau, we reach the Rabaçal shelter and from here we set off towards the Risco waterfall. Then we descend the Levada das 25 Fontes and walk until we reach a kind of lagoon. This lagoon is located at the bottom of a rock from which the 25 waterfalls (fountains) fall, which is why this levada was named. On the way back, the route takes us through a tunnel that also directs the water towards the south of the island.

Day 7: Sunday Half day - Serra de Água Valley
Level of difficulty: easy Distance: 6.5 km Duration: 4 hours including transfers The Serra D'Agua Valley is a half-day trail that offers the chance to see the impressive landscapes of the island's south coast (Encumeada, Ribeira Brava and Campanário) with its magnificent variety of fauna and flora. We urge visitors not to leave the island without walking this 6.5 km stretch of beautiful nature.
